Prior to one of its regular meetings on Cyprus, which will be held on April 30, 2018, a group of Turkish members of the GTF met with Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım on April 17, 2018, at his office in Ankara. The GTF Turkey Chapter Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, and members Ambassador (R) Murat Sungar and Özlem Piltanoğlu participated in the meeting.
Prime Minister Yıldırım was briefed on the latest and planned activities of the GTF as well as its past performance and current mission to improve the dialogue atmosphere between Turkish and Greek people. The GTF members shared their views on the latest developments in bilateral relations between Turkey and Greece. Recent developments related to the Cyprus issue were also part of the discussion.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Yıldırım indicated his government’s continuing support for the GTF activities, as well as to improve peaceful and productive relations between Greece and Turkey.
