Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and Mr. Mustafa Akıncı, the leaders of Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities respectively jointly attended a luncheon at Chateau Status Restaurant in Nicosia hosted by the Greek Turkish Forum.
Several GTF members from Turkish, Greek and Cyrus chapters attended the lunch and expressed their opinions to urge both leaders to maintain the positive momentum in the negotiation process in order to achieve mutually acceptable settlement in the Island. In return, both Cypriot leaders, Mr. Anastasiades and Mr. Akıncı, stated their support for the continuation of the activities of the GTF.
Since the establishment of the Cyprus Chapter of the GTF in 2006, the Greek-Turkish Forum have maintained its contribution for the creation of a sustainable dialogue between the Turkish Cypriots and the Greek Cypriots.
