The Greek Turkish Forum members met in Istanbul on April 16-17, 2016

The Greek Turkish Forum met at Bogaziçi University in Istanbul on April 16-17, for their first regular meeting in 2016. At the end of the two-day meeting, the GTF released a statement, welcoming the progress achieved in the Cyprus negotiations.

The GTF members expressed their positive opinions on ongoing international efforts and encouraged the two leaders in the Island to facilitate the successful conclusion of such efforts. The GTF members also urged both sides to refrain from unilateral moves and statements that would contravene the already achieved progress.
