While holding one of its regular meetings on the Island, the GTF members met with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akıncı on October 7, 2019, at his office in Nicosia. Several members of the Greek-Turkish Forum from Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus attended the meeting hosted by Mr Mustafa Akıncı.
Mr Akıncı’s Special Advisor on Diplomacy and EU Affairs, Mr Erhan Elçin, and Presidency Spokesman Mr Barış Burcu also attended the meeting. Mr Akıncı briefed the GTF members on the latest developments in connection with the Cyprus issue. The GFT members also shared their views of the topic and ask questions to Mr Akıncı.
The Greek-Turkish Forum maintains its support for the dialogue between Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots.
