Zuhal Mert Uzuner is an associate professor of international relations at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Marmara University. She teaches Introduction to International Relations and Seminar on Southeast Europe, International Organizations, EU-Turkey Relations, Greek-Turkish Relations lessons.  Uzuner studies foreign policy analysis, Greek foreign policy, Greek Turkish relations, Turkish foreign policy, Balkans and Mediterranean politics. She has B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Marmara University International Relations and M.A. degree from Southeast European Studies at Demokritus University of Thrace, Law School, Greece. She knows English and Greek languages and has several articles, books and papers in Turkish, Greek and English. She is the author of “Rise of Radical Liberal Discourse in Turkish Foreign Policy” in Insight Turkey (July 1, 2014) and  Anapofeuktoi Sintrofoi o Ellino Italikos Polemos ston Tourkiko Tipo Oktovrios Dekemvrios 1940, (published by Epikentro in 2016) and editor of Role of Image in Greek Turkish Studies (published in 2018 by Peter Lang).
